What educators are saying

We've just started working on this production for the end of the year and the students are absolutely loving it!
We used this resource for our schools yearly performance. It was a great addition to fill space between acts.

Description

This show is a time traveling musical history lesson!! The speakers’ script includes many facts about inventions and inventors of the 20th century and the musical performances will take the audience on a trip down memory lane.

This performance package can be used by an elementary classroom teacher, a music teacher, a summer camp coordinator, or a drama program instructor.

This show could be performed by anywhere from 25 to 100+ students depending on stage size.

The length of the performance is approximately 50 minutes.

This show was originally performed by 80 students in my drama program (K through 8th). I divided them into 4 class groups of 20 students. However this show could easily be performed by less or more students depending on your class/classes and your stage.

Some grouping options are:

-One class (25 students) split into 4 groups each performing two decades

-Four classes each performing two decades

-Eight classes each taking one decade (last decade as whole group finale)

-Seven classes each taking one decade (50’s and 2000 performed by all)

Decade Groups: Costume options

1. The 20’s – Flapper Costumes

2. The 30’s – Top Hats and Canes

3. The 40’s – Soldiers or Patriotic

4. The 50’s - Poodle Skirts/Elvis

5. The 60’s – Twisters/Chubby Checker

6. The 70’s – Disco Costumes

7. The 80’s – Neon and Mohawks

8. The 90’s – Hip Hop/Vanilla Ice

9. 2000 and Beyond
