As a teacher of Little Learners, I became very frustrated with the limited options that were available to me for my small groups and beginning readers. All of the books that were ‘leveled’ were not developmentally appropriate. There were way too many words that were not decodable. So I decided to create decodable reader books that were actually developmentally appropriate. These books are full of decodable words that are short vowel centered, as well as high-frequency words. Each book has an optional post reading sheet.
