- Eagle Eye - Keep your eyes on the word the whole time. Look closely at the letters from beginning to end.
- Lips the Fish - Start saying the sounds in order from beginning to end.
- Stretchy Snake - Slowly stretch each letter sound or word part to make the word.
- Listening Lion - Listen closely to your reading. Stop and go back to fix it up if something sounds wrong.
- Chunky Monkey - Break the word into chunks you know. Read across from beginning to tend.
- Flippy Dolphin - Flip the vowel sound. Try it differently - short, long, silent, schwa.
- Skippy Frog - After you try the word a few times...Skip the tricky word. Read more words. Go back and try again.
