Description

This resource is a google slides document. It is designed to be a digital worksheet for your students to fill out and submit via google classroom. Answer key is attached to the downloaded product.

Slide 1 - Video tutorial on how to find the parts of a parabola on a ti-84 calculator. The video works through the first example on the assignment so that students can understand how to use the digital worksheet

Slide 2: The worksheet. Students type in the following for 6 example quadratic functions:

  • Vertex ( also min or max)
  • solutions
  • y-intercept
  • axis of symmetry
  • domain
  • range

Slide 3&4: Calculating the Axis of Symmetry. Slide 3 explains how to use the formula x=-b/(2a). on slide 4, students solve for the axis of symmetry on the the original 6 problems by hand.
