Disorders and Diseases Stations Bundle for Anatomy or Health Sciences

Bring the body system units to life by incorporating these disease and disorders stations! These stations were designed to be the perfect addition to your anatomy and physiology or health science course in order to foster critical and analytical thinking skills as well as a well-rounded understanding of each system.

These stations require zero prior learning and can be used at any point during each unit. All information is provided within this activity itself. Need emergency sub plans? Send these to your students with confidence that they can complete them in your absence!

NOTE: These resources are supplemental and are NOT included in my full-year anatomy & physiology curriculum, but correspond perfectly with it!

How to use these stations/worksheets:

• Full-Day Lesson: Prior to class, tape the stations around the room. Provide students with the class period to walk around and answer the questions in their student packet. They do not need to start at a certain station and can go in any order that they prefer. Optional alternative: If your students are 1-to-1, Instead of having them walk around the room, post the stations and packet on your online learning system for them to complete digitally (digital versions are included).
• Bell-Ringer: Provide each student with a student packet at the beginning of the unit. Each day at the beginning of class, display one of the disorders stations on the board (or post the stations in Google Classroom). Have them complete one specific disease per day as a warm-up to class.
• Substitute Plans: Going to be absent unexpectedly? Upload the digital student packet and digital student stations. Voila! Sub plans are done in less than 5 minutes! No prior learning is required for these stations. Imagine having a ready-to-go, zero-prep sub plan ready to go for each unit! Students can complete these stations with zero prior learning!
• Fillers: Find yourself having awkward gaps during class or need a moment to prep a lab or activity? Print out or post all the student worksheets at the beginning of the unit. Any day in class that you need a 3–5-minute activity, pass out a worksheet or refer your students to the disease that they should complete on Google Classroom.

Are these resources editable?

Yes! The student stations and student worksheets are both available with fully editable text through PowerPoint. The images included within the stations and worksheets are not editable in order to protect the copyright of the clipart artists whose work is featured in this resource. The student packets (plus keys) are Word documents and are 100% editable.
