What educators are saying

Very helpful for my students. Our mathbook doesn't address these, so it was great practice for my tutoring group afterschool! My students loved this and enjoyed making it their own reference sheet
I was able to add this at the beginning of the year review packet. SO MANY of my students just depend on their calculator, I was shocked at how many of my HS kids didn't know any divisibility rules!

Description

Use this Divisibility Rules Doodle Notes activity to introduce or review divisibility rules. Students can then keep these notes in their notebooks and use them as a study tool.

This easy-prep, engaging divisibility rules resource includes:

  • Student Doodle Notes page
  • Answer key and completed sample page to use as your guide
  • Problem solving page with answer key

Student Page Details:

  • The rules for 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, and 10 are included.
  • Some of the sections of the page have part of the rule written out, so students just need to add to it.
  • Others have a specific example for students to work from, and they’ll need to write out the whole rule.

The notes in my sample are suggestions – you may phrase some rules a little differently than I do, so you can easily alter your notes or add more than I have in the sample.

What teachers are saying about this resource:

️️️️️️️️️️️️️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"This is a great resource to have students engaged and filling out the definitions and working with the divisibility rules for each number. I noticed that the time that went into these sheets makes the students proud and pull them out to help others or to use as needed."

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"Having note resources like this one really helps my students connect the dots while creating a resource they can refer back to. We completed it as a whole class and students participated readily in deciding what should go on the notes page. They also enjoy making their notes unique. Thanks!"

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"I LOVE this resource! It was a great resource to introduce divisibility rules. It explains them in an easy and engaging way that helped my students remember them. We glued them into our math books as a constant reminder."

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"Ok, this was cool! My curriculum mentioned teaching divisibility rules to the kids, but didn't explain it very well, so I went looking and found this. I hadn't heard of divisibility rules before this year, but thanks to these doodle notes, the kids and I now both understand them and find them helpful for dividing large numbers."
