What educators are saying

I absolutely love this resource and will definitely be purchasing the second version. I start each class with a daily bellringer, and this has saved me so much planning time- well worth expense, as I plan to use it for many years!
It's been really a great tool in the classroom. The kids like having the different days and they like discussing the warm ups! This was exactly what I was looking for. We've been able to have some really great engaging discussions.

Description

While drama is typically a get-up-and-go class, teachers always want to have a balance, especially at the beginning of class. That’s where these Drama Bell Ringers come in for the rescue! Start your day with a fun and interesting way for students to deepen their knowledge of theatre with different themes each day!

In this item you will find ALL 5 DAYS worth of bell ringers that will cover over one whole semester of bell ringers! Typically semesters are 18 weeks long, but in this item each bell ringer includes 25 WEEKS worth of content, so you can pick and choose the content you think your students will find the most interesting!

Hopefully, you will find that these quick and easy bell ringers deepen your classroom experience, giving students exposure to aspect of theatre you may not have time to cover in another way!

Here are the each of the themed days you will find in this bundled packet:

Musical Monday

A look at a musical, a video clip, and a reflection question. There are new modern musicals as well as classic musicals and everything in between.

Thoughtful Tuesday

A quote about acting, theatre, etc. and a reflection question. Some questions are more intense than others, so you may want to ramp up to the harder questions if you wish, depending on the class.

Wild Card Wednesday

Everything that is not typical Western Theatrical performance from Kabuki theatre to Vaudeville to looking at specific plays. Some include links to video clips to enhance the bell ringer if you wish.

Technical Thursday

A look at technical aspects of theatre from careers in tech to specific shows involving interesting technical aspects. All of these have a coordinating video clip to illustrate the concept.

Find it Friday

A trivia question about theatre students have to research and find the correct answer. Make it an individual race and award extra credit to the person who gets the correct answer first or just a fun activity to start off the day. Students will need internet access to complete the activity; therefore you will need either student phones, laptops, or a computer lab.

You will find each of these days as a separate Google Slide Presentation, so you can curate each week as you wish!

In total, this activity will bring you 135 SLIDES of content as well as over 60 VIDEO LINKS, a teacher’s guide, and student worksheet for your classroom!

**IMPORTANT NOTE*** I try my best to keep all links active and updated. If you find any of the links are broken, please let me know, and I will update the product ASAP.

For you, the busy drama teacher, all you have to do is print and teach! Everything is now prepped for you! Have fun and enjoy storytelling through this unit. Break a leg!
