EDITABLE Sight Words - Whiteboard - Race to Write

Have you ever felt overwhelmed and just needed a minute to catch your breath? Have you ever wondered how you could keep your class busy while you worked one-on-one with a student or small group? I know I have and that's why I created 7 Minute Whiteboard Videos. They are ZERO prep! No copies! No early finishers! No grading! The best part is, kids LOVE them!

These videos offer a quick, no-prep review that your students are going to love! Each student needs a whiteboard, marker, and eraser.

This EDITABLE set is unlike all the rest of my whiteboard videos! I have included templates for you to create your own presentations in both PowerPoint and Google Slides. Every word is saved as an individual video (1 minute and 30 seconds each). You can add as many words as your kids need! Customize different lists for different reading groups. Create presentations to hit words your class is struggling with. No class is ever the same and this resource allows you to create just the right fit for your kids! Use the templates to create new presentations for the entire year.

How do Race to Write Videos work?

Students have one minute to each word as many times as they can. They circle the neatest one, show a friend, then erase their board. This is fun because kids are racing the clock. They are held accountable for their writing because they will show it to a friend before erasing. If you are distance learning, they can show boards to their webcams. These are sure to become a class favorite. I love that these run themselves. You can turn them on and keep your class actively engaged. They are fantastic for transitions and would make great centers. Because they are editable, you can add just enough words to fill your rotation times.
