Description

The Economics Unit is filled with activities, PowerPoints, and assessments to learn about economics. (Includes 21 files below)

1) Needs and Wants: Students draw and write about needs and wants.

2) Needs and Wants Quiz: Students label pictures as needs or wants and write about their own needs and wants.

3) Economics Posters: Posters to illustrate and define economics concepts and terms (types of resources, goods/services, scarcity, consumer/producer) . (8 pages)

4) From Grapes to Raisins: Students sequence the process of producing grapes to make raisins.

5) Raisin Production Resources Sort: Students sort human, natural, and capital resources used in raisin production.

6) Production: Students plan a good or service to produce in order to earn an income.

7) Scarcity: Students draw and write about a time they experienced a scarcity.

8) Economics Tic-Tac-Toe: Students choose 3 activities from this tic-tac-toe grid to reinforce economic concepts. Great for early finishers!

9) Economic Errands: Students will work in groups to determine if errands involve goods or services. (Includes 8 errand cards and recording sheet.)

10) The Bookmark Factory: Students create bookmarks while participating in unit production and assembly line production. (A reflection sheet is included.)

12) Community Worker Cards: A set of 36 community worker cards for students to sort based on what they provide for the community - goods or services.
