What educators are saying

This bundle gave me lots of opportunities to keep learning happening to the end of school year and engagement was high!
This was a good resource for tying in the lessons of the year. This is definitely not a no-prep lesson. You will need to take the time to review everything. Great tool!

    Description

Keep middle and high school students engaged in meaningful literacy activities at the end of the school year. When attention spans start waning, this bundle of unique end-of-year resources for English classes will help keep students focused while celebrating learning and enhancing the community you've built.

END OF YEAR ACTIVITIES RESOURCE CONTENTS:

    • Course Reflection - Students will reflect on their growth, learning, and work ethic while providing the teacher with feedback on the course with this end-of-year activity. Takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.
    • Year Mapping - In this creative task, students will synthesize major takeaways from what they have learned by making connections and creating a mind map that shows how one unit of learning from the course relates to the others. Time varies, but if used as recommended, takes approximately 3 forty-five minute class periods to complete.
    • Playlist of My Year - Students will review key grammar skills and incorporate them in a written, reflective response that highlights a personalized theme for the year. Takes approximately 2-3 forty-five minute class periods to complete.
    • Summer Reading - Students can make book recommendations and create summer reading bucket lists with this simple activity. Takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.
    • Book Lists and Reading Tips - Share recommended reading lists for summer as well as tips to support families in promoting reading at home. Takes approximately 15 minutes to discuss with students.

The end of year activities in this bundle encourage students to communicate and reflect with minimal assessment required. Gain valuable feedback on learning that you can use to shape your course the following year.

The course reflection, year mapping, and playlist activities are all digital.
