While this painting has fascinated the public and fans for hundreds of years, there are many mysteries that surround the creation of the painting itself. On Thursday, June 23rd, The Mona Lisa was taken from The Louvre. Although The Mona Lisa has her own room in the museum, complete with glass ceilings and a spotlight that brings out the magnificent beauty of the painting, it wasn't enough to stop this thief.
