Description
Have a little dramatic fun during the last days of school with this End of the Year drama activity. Drama Circles are such a fun way to practice oral reading fluency, reading with expression, elements of drama, listening skills, following instructions, and performance skills, all in one cooperative learning activity! This fun drama activity will keep your students moving, and is perfect for the end of the school year. It has a similar format to the “I Have / Who Has” Games and will have your students begging to try it over and over again.
Each drama card is similar to a task card in that it has an instruction for students to say or perform (or both). Students will assemble in a circle and each student will be given a card (some students may receive more than one card). When it is a student’s turn to perform the card, they will step into the circle, perform the instructions on the card, and step back. This fun drama game continues until the last card is acted out.
End of the Year Drama Circle Activity Resource Contains:
· 40 student cards
· Cover card
· Instructions
· Blank card
· Assessment Page
· Full black and white copy
Your students will love “acting out” with these drama circles, and they are the perfect way to build community in your classroom. Watch your students’ confidence grow as they perform more drama circles throughout the year. My students always ask to each drama circle a second time as soon as we finish – they switch out the cards on their own, and we’re ready to go again.
Prep is quick and easy... Just print the student pages and cut out the cards. It’s LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION after that.
TEACHERS LIKE YOU HAVE SAID…
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Angela S. says, "These are the BEST things I have ever purchased from TpT!! My students love them! We've done four already this year. I have seen a change in my quiet students, even they love doing them. So, so fun and so good for listening, comprehension, and speaking skills."
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Elizabeth M. says, "I cannot express how much both my students and I loved this activity. They have already been asking to do the drama circle again! Thank you!"
