End of the Year Math Project Activities Fun 4th 5th 6th Grade Math Review Packet

Your students will love seeing how their math skills apply to the real world with these fun end of the year math project activities for 4th, 5th, and 6th grade math review! This Planning a Barbeque Party Math Project includes two differentiated packets of math enrichment activities to support project based learning. Each packet has 35 worksheets of multi-step word problems and activities to get 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students to apply their math skills to real-world scenarios. This math project is perfect for math enrichment activities, small group or partner work, math centers, sub plans, test prep review, and more!

When completing this real-world math project, students get to plan the details of their family's backyard BBQ party! They must select a date and time, purchase and send invitations, get a count of who will attend, plan and purchase food, purchase supplies, decorations, and activities, set up the backyard, and much more!  Every decision is made by solving one-step or multi-step math word problems.

There are two differentiated versions of this math project included! The advanced version includes decimals and decimal operations (particularly with money) while the basic version does not. The basic version is ideal for 4th grade, while the advanced version is ideal for 5th grade and 6th grade.
