Engineering with Play Dough ~ STEM Challenges ~ Set of Five!

This is a collection of five STEM Engineering challenges using play dough and a few other items. Can your students complete these challenges and engineer some play dough fun of their own?

Most elementary teachers are more comfortable with using easy to find objects, so I have decided to create STEM challenge packs based on specific items, like play dough

This engineering challenge activity pack is one of many that I have created to use in my classroom! I sometimes place these challenges, one per table, and the students rotate around the room in order to complete them. There are no right or wrong answers, many different solutions will work! You could also rotate these challenges through a science center. I plan to complete them as a whole class activity, one per day during the month. You could even send some challenges home for students to complete! I store everything in a dollar store gift bag or plastic tub!

These activities are great to use during any month of the year, but are perfect for the beginning or end of the year. You can use all of them or just pick and choose! The materials are easy to find, I got most of them from donations from my students and their families!
