What educators are saying

Great activities for independent work and center work. Lots of choices. My students enjoyed and learned a lot from these activities.

    Description

This bundle of exponential functions resources is filled with activities, group work, worksheets, discoveries and assessments! Seven of my popular resources are included. No more searching for exponential resources because everything you need is here. Save 30% by buying this bundle!

    Possible lesson plan:

(6-7 Days on Block Schedule/12-14 days on Regular Schedule)

    • I take several days on a block schedule to go through the Exponential Function Unit. I let them work at their own pace and some students have to take it home. I like to make it into a booklet. There are times when I have to stop everyone and talk and make sure they know what an asymptote is and make sure they know how to plug into the interest formula correctly.

During this whole process, I pick and choose some of the warm-ups to do that are at the end of the Exponential Function Unit.

This product and more is a part of my Exponential and Log Bundle

Recognize that sequences are functions, sometimes defined recursively, whose domain is a subset of the integers. For example, the Fibonacci sequence is defined recursively by 𝘧(0) = 𝘧(1) = 1, 𝘧(𝘯+1) = 𝘧(𝘯) + 𝘧(𝘯-1) for 𝘯 greater than or equal to 1.
Graph exponential and logarithmic functions, showing intercepts and end behavior, and trigonometric functions, showing period, midline, and amplitude.
Use the properties of exponents to interpret expressions for exponential functions. For example, identify percent rate of change in functions such as y = (1.02) to the 𝘡 power, 𝘺 = (0.97) to the 𝘡 power, 𝘺 = (1.01) to the 12𝘡 power, 𝘺 = (1.2) to the 𝘡/10 power, and classify them as representing exponential growth or decay.
Prove that linear functions grow by equal differences over equal intervals, and that exponential functions grow by equal factors over equal intervals.
Recognize situations in which a quantity grows or decays by a constant percent rate per unit interval relative to another.
