First Grade Phonics & Sight Words Pacing Guide

This pacing guide will help guide your instruction throughout the entire year! My teammate and I created this and have used it for the past 3 years. The phonics skills follow along with the suggested ones by Jan Richardson. We start with long and short vowels, working through blends and digraphs and then on to vowel teams. The sight words begin with pre-primer and primer to review, then work through all of first grade and even goes a few weeks into the second grade list. It is a life saver!
