What educators are saying

My students are notorious at not following directions. I enjoyed giving them this small challenge while I was away from class as did my students.
My students got to do these puzzles during our last week of school. No more technology, but we need to stay engaged. Some were easy, some were challenging! We loved them all.

Description

Following directions puzzles are a fun way to teach critical thinking. Great for back to school at the beginning of the year or at the end of the year as standardized test preparation. Five challenging puzzles that gifted and talented students enjoy, too! In the first puzzle, cross words off a table according to the directions provided to reveal an inspirational quote about life. In the next puzzle, follow directions to travel the world to catch a thief. In the third puzzle, rearrange letters to change one phrase into another. In the fourth puzzle, follow the arrows to reach the finish. Finally, in the last puzzle, replace letters to decode a famous quote by Walt Whitman. All keys included. Digital Resource and Printable: Includes an Easel Activity ready for learning with digital tools. Assign it in Google Classroom or use a link in any LMS. Select pages and add your own directions or notes! Helpful for remote teaching. Fun brain teaser anytime you wish to reinforce the importance of following directions. Helps students concentrate and develop skills needed for state testing. It's a useful activity for test prep. 16 total pages, including 5 ready-made digital Easel Activity pages.
