I use these as a handout at conferences. Rather than informing parents that their child reads at a certain letter, explain the type of text and supply parents with possible titles for their children to read at home.

I use these as a reference as well when recommending books to students. Students shouldn't have to select text based on the letter, but instead use descriptors as a guide.

BEFORE DOWNLOADING:
- Be sure your students are somewhere within the Fountas and Pinnell range of J-Z, otherwise this will not be useful to you!
