What educators are saying

Such a fantastic resource. My students use and refer to it daily. I love the pictures are of real kids and are so diverse.
These are wonderful references for the class. I have them posted but I also have a set that I display as we work on the target letter/sound.

Description

Build confidence in reading and writing with these sound posters in French! These phoneme and grapheme cards are the perfect reference for your students to develop their proficiency. These boho-themed and neutral posters are bright and colourful which will be visually appealing to your students. You can choose to use these posters as a visual display in your classroom or print as smaller cards to use in guided reading sessions. Not into the pastel colours? Opt for the black and white option also included.
These sounds cards would make the perfect addition to any French or French Immersion classroom.

* Aligns with the Science of Reading: these alphabet cards have mouth articulation pictures and visuals to help assist in letter sound recognition and pairing graphemes and phonemes.
* Three options to choose: Grapheme Pronunciation (e.g., ah, bé, sé), Neutral posters or Previous Rainbow versions
* Includes 30 cards to display
* Choose from 4 different styles: White letter font in corner, black, low printing options and Kindergarten friendly posters.
* Pictures with each grapheme
* Includes multiple sounds including short and long e in French (cheval & escargot)
* Soft and Hard sounds - C & G
* Long and short vowels
* References on sheets for primary classes: "Le son C doux se prononce comme Ss."
Why should I include articulation pictures in my classroom?
A set of pictures and articulation mouths associated with a letter can help children learn their grapheme (print) to phoneme (sound) relationships by giving them a reference point.  Students have visual references to the phonemes and proper articulation to access without the immediate assistance of the teacher. In such a way, students are consistently reviewing their letter sounds and improving their decoding skills. By mastering the French alphabet sounds, students are better able to decode words in text. Visuals in the cards also assist students in developing vocabulary and sound relationships with others.
