Description

Introduction: This play includes many members of the class and helps students understand the events and causes of the French Revolution through active participation. After the play, students demonstrate their understanding with four quick questions.
Objectives: Students will understand and identify the causes of the French Revolution and some of the early events and effects.
Procedures/Supplies: Print out signs and the tri-colored flag. Color the flag before the play. Designate places in the room for Palace, Bastille, Tennis Court (include the Tennis Court Oath Signature Page), and Bruno’s Bakery (include the money and bread and hang signs there. Give the Declaration of Rights of Man and Citizen to Rep 10. Assign Parts. No other materials are needed if a projector is used for the play and exit slip. Thanks for looking. Happy history!
