French phonemic awareness: this easy to prep set of games to practice French sounds will get your students working on recognizing phonemes and graphemes in words. By playing these French phonics games, kids will work with “les sons français” so that they improve their "conscience phonologique".

The game plays just like 4-in-a-row, but with a phonics twist.
Students roll or spin a sound, then cover an image representing a word that includes that sound.
Students take turns and the first to cover 4 images in a row WINS!

They'll get better at recognizing French sounds in words. They'll roll a grapheme (print) and search for the phoneme (sound).
