    1. Genetics Vocabulary - Boom Cards **

    • This interactive deck will challenge your students to be able to genetics vocabulary. This digital resource is hosted on Boom Learning™. Boom Cards™ require absolutely no printing, laminating, cutting, or grading. It's all done for you!
    • Boom Cards™ can easily be used on Boom Learning™ or uploaded into your google classroom.

    2. Intro to Genetics WebQuest

    • Students will watch three videos from The Amoeba Sisters and answer questions as they go along.

    3. Punnett Square Basics - Notes and Practice Problems

    • This is a google slides activity that walks you through the basic vocabulary for punnett squares. Then there is a how to section on solving punnett squares, which includes an embedded youtube video. The last 9 slides have activities for your students to work on.
    • 44 slides in total -- 10 slides - Intro to Genetics -- 21 slides - How to Punnett Square + a video -- 9 slides of basic practice problems

    4. Punnett Square Tie-Dye Challenge

    • Included there are 20 slides with punnett square word problems that the students will work through. Each slide has a punnet square already there for them to plug their information into. There is an additional question to answer after filling in the punnet square. The slides are completely editable if you wanted to add or take away questions.

    5. Smiley Face Genetics

    • Smiley Face Genetics Digital Lab will allow students to flip a coin (digital link provided) to determine which trait the parents give to their offspring. Students will move red circles around the alleles each parents gives to give them a visual when writing the genotype and then determining the phenotype.
    • They will then get to digitally create their smiley face baby! Each phenotype is available for them to drag and drop into the slide. They can enlarge the png or make it smaller so their smiley face is proportional.
    • The last slide has conclusion questions related to their smiley face and to genetics in general.
      • Ex: Which traits of your smiley face are dominant/recessive?
      • How does this activity relate to the real world of parents and offspring?

    • There is a blank direction slides for you to write out more specific directions or to insert a video for your students. I created a loom video showing how to drag and drop for my students. I did not include my video since my face is on it.

    6. Punnett Square Practice

    • This is a google slides activity that has different punnett square activities for your students to work on. All practice problems are editable!
    • Included: 13 slides in total, 3 slides differentiating between genotypes, phenotypes, homozygous and heterozygous, 6 slides of punnet square practice problems where students need to solve the square and determine genotype and phenotype possibilities - completely editable! 3 blank slides for you to make your own problems - or to assign to students for them to come up with their own problems. Let them be creative!
    • A MODIFIED version with the same 13 slides! Each slide has helpful hints on the left hand side to guide students to the answer. These hints include vocabulary meanings, examples. See preview!

    9. Monster Genetics Digital Lab

    • Monster Genetics Digital Lab will allow students to flip a coin (digital link provided) to determine which trait the parents give to their offspring.     10. Genetics Mystery Picture Puzzle

    • In this self-checking activity, students will work on 20 different questions. 1-12 are key vocabulary terms (see below), 13-20 are scenarios where students need to determine the probability of the offspring. As questions are answered correctly, pieces of the mystery puzzle will begin to appear, just like a pixel art activity!
    • To use this activity, you will share a Google Sheets link with your students. Make sure you give them their own copy. They will determine the answers to 20 different questions and type their answers into the answer column. If the answer is correct, puzzle pieces will magically appear in the cells on the right-hand side of the google sheet and their answer will turn green. If the answer is incorrect, the puzzle pieces will not appear, the answer cell will turn red, and the student will know that the answer is wrong.

    11. Genetics Practice Problems Task Cards Digital and Printable

    • This resource has 20 questions that ask for the percent possibility of different punnett square crosses, genotypes and phenotypes.
    • Digital resource is in google sheets. Students will use the drop down feature to select the question and then write their answer in the answer cell. When questions are correct they will turn green, and the image will start to unscramble. When questions are incorrect they will turn red and image pieces will not move. Students will know they are all correct when all answers are green and the final image appears.
    • Printable resource is a PDF with all 20 task cards on there. There are color and black and white options. Student answer sheet is also included. Answer key is provided.

    12. Genetics Warm Up Digital and Printable Task Cards

    • This resource has 6 questions that ask for the percent possibility of different punnett square crosses.
    • Digital resource is in google sheets. Students will use drop down to select question and then write their answer in the answer cell.     • This google forms quiz has 10 multiple choice questions, which are completely editable. Some questions have images to refer to, to help students answer the question. There are 4 short answer questions where students will need to determine percent of a specific offspring.
    • Each question already has point values set - 20 points total, and the answer key is set. This will automatically grade the assessment for you, and google forms give you a lot of data on each question.

    14. Genetics Matching Worksheet Digital and Printable

    • Printable format comes in a PDF. Students can match the correct definition with the term. Student answer sheets and answer key are provided.
    • Digital format is in google sheets.Students will match the question number with the answer. If they are correct, the box will turn green, if incorrect the box will turn red.

    15. Snowman Genetics Digital Lab

    • Snowman Genetics Digital Lab will allow students to flip a coin (digital link provided) to determine which trait the parents give to their offspring.     16. Genetics Digital Task Card Progression Art

    • This resource has 16 task card questions #1-8 are questions based on key vocabulary, #9-16 has students determine the probability of a given punnet square scenario. When questions are correct they will turn green, and part of the picture will appear. When questions are incorrect they will turn red and the image will not change. Students will know they are all correct when all answers are green and the image is complete.
