Please note, this project craft is a celebration of the work of George Washington Carver. While he did extensively research and promote the use of peanuts in various products, including peanut butter, the credit for inventing peanut butter as we know it goes to Marcellus Gilmore Edson. George Washington Carver's contributions to peanut research focused on crop rotation, soil improvement, and creating alternative uses for peanuts.
