George Washington Carver is famous for his work as a scientist and botanist, and discovering many uses for peanuts, including popularizing peanut butter, helping farmers who were reliant on cotton plants.
Included with this eye-catching craft (Check out the preview for a closer look):
- Four information pages (bio, childhood, education, discoveries) each on solid and broken lines - use one or all!
- One blank solid and broken lined page for you to use at your own discretion
- Step-by-step directions
- Peanut butter jar label (cover) comes in color or black and white option
- Templates to run the peanut jar and lid
Please note, this project craft is a celebration of the work of George Washington Carver. While he did extensively research and promote the use of peanuts in various products, including peanut butter, the credit for inventing peanut butter as we know it goes to Marcellus Gilmore Edson. George Washington Carver's contributions to peanut research focused on crop rotation, soil improvement, and creating alternative uses for peanuts.
