This Laundry Sort activity is designed to help students recognize acceptable and unacceptable conversation topics as a way to reduce gossip and rumors. This download includes both color and black & white versions. Download also includes EDITABLE PAGES.

Article of Clothing Scenarios
*40 articles of clothing WITH clothespin clipart
*40 articles of clothing WITHOUT clothespin clipart-can use mini clothespins to attach to string clothesline.
*40 Editable with and without clothespin clipart
Laundry Sort Game:
Print Dirty/Clean Laundry and articles of clothing pages. Print on card stock and laminate for best results. Cut out individual articles of clothing (40 in total). Divide small group into two teams. Each team gets a Dirty/Clean Laundry page. Lay all articles of clothing out on table. One member from each team takes turns choosing an article of clothing and reads the printed scenario. If the scenario is positive (ok to discuss) they place it on the Clean Laundry clothesline. If scenario is negative (Not ok to discuss) they place it on the Dirty Laundry clothesline. The team that gets 8 positive and 8 negative scenarios the quickest, wins the game.

What does Airing Your Dirty Laundry Mean? This phrase originates from wanting to keep dirty laundry (an analogy for secrets) away from public view. Definition: To discuss private, personal matters, especially that which may be embarrassing in public or with other people.
