When I was preparing my ELs for the annual language proficiency test for the the first time as an ESL teacher, I struggled to find any materials that were a true reflection of what to expect on the test. I felt that even though I saw progress with their language skills in class, the unique style and technological demands of the test were their biggest challenge, which made it difficult for them to truly show their language level. Realizing the need for test preparation materials for language proficiency tests, I dedicated many hours to create practice tests for each language domain in grades 1-12.
