    • Ideal for introducing this topic to students!
    • You have my permission to convert this to Google Slides, if you wish.
    • It comes with a matching companion handout (The companion handout includes both a printable version and a Google Slides version.)

    Flipbook

    • 9 tabs
    • Each page contains 7 words.
    • For each word, students must identify the root, identify the meaning of the root, and write a definition of the word in a way that shows how it relates to the root.
    • You get to choose whether to use the printable version or the Google Slides version.

    Worksheets and Flower Craftivity

    • Students complete up to 5 worksheets (60 sentences).
    • Students read each sentence and circle the word that contains a Greek or Latin root. On the line that follows, they write the root and the meaning of the circled word.
    • Then, they select some of their worksheet answers to assemble the craftivity.
    • These can be used to create a fun bulletin board or hall display!

    I Have Who Has Game

    • 28 cards
    • You get to choose whether to use the printable format that is played with an entire class or the Google Slides format that can be played individually or with a partner.

    Concentration Game

    • This can be played in small groups.
    • Students take turns finding matches that connect the roots to their meanings.
    • This activity is exclusive to the bundle.

    4 Worksheets/Assessment

    • You choose between the printable version, the Easel version, and the Google Slides version.
      • Worksheet #1: Number Roots (1 page) Students read a sentence and identify the word with a Greek or Latin number root.
      • Worksheet #2: Writing Sentences (2 pages) Students are presented with 14 roots. After identifying the meaning of the root, students generate a sentence that features the given root.
      • Worksheet #3: Root Squares (3 pages) Students are presented with 18 roots. For each root, students are given one word and one definition. They must write a definition for the given word, and they must identify a word that matches the given definition.
      • Worksheet #4: Matching Review (2 pages) Students are given 18 words. Students must read words in Column A and identify the root. Then they must choose the matching definition from Column B.
      • Assessment (4 pages): This assessment contains 20 items (18 multiple-choice items and 2 short answer items).
