What educators are saying

This was such an amazing unit to do with my students! There were many great activities. We used it as a comparison standard, and my Spanish-speaking students loved getting to teach us some of the vocabulary words that were in their home language!

How I Use in My Classroom

I like to work with other teachers in my school and let the students rotate from room to room. We start by watching the videos about Halloween and Day of the Dead and doing the Research Activity to compare/contrast the two holidays in our homerooms. Students then rotate to the following activities for approximately 45 minutes-1 hour each. When finished, they come back to their homeroom to do the Ultimate Halloween Party Game!

•Room 1: Minute to Win It and Writing

•Room 2: Sugar Skulls passage and Art Activity

    •Room 3: STEM

    •Room 4: Creation Stations
