HUGE 370+ Page Resource Bundle - CBCA Informative Texts - Teacher Resources

This is a HUGE 370+ page bundle of resources based on the informative books featured in the Eve Pownell category of the CBCA shortlisted books for 2023.

Each bundle is completely unique, and is aimed at targeting the specific skills and strategies needed to comprehend each text on a deep and meaningful level. There are no generic activities or "busy work" tasks - instead, each bundle of resources has been meticulously designed to inspire critical thinking, analysis, thematic trends and much more.

Every bundle includes an in-depth comprehension guide. Each guide covers sections of the books (most of them page-by-page) and access a range of comprehension skills, including both literal and inferential levels of understanding. There are also integrated research tasks and creative responses based on each individual text. Answer guides are also given (except for the text "Opal and Dart" which is aimed at a younger audience).

There are also four sets of full-colour Literature Circle task cards (40 in total) linked to the books Opal and Dart, Come Together, Deep and Wild Australian Life. All associated printables are also included. Tasks are designed to be completely independent, with no-prep, except for printing of worksheets. Tasks are open-ended with a high degree of student choice to facilitate student engagement. Creative Arts are also integrated, with informative, imaginative and persuasive writing prompts.

Additional resources such as student dictionaries, full-colour word walls and vocabulary boosters are included, based on the characteristics of each text.

Many of these texts link to Science and History strands for Stages Two and Three. They are perfect for integrated learning.

Simply put, this bundle is months of programming sorted! Reading, writing and speaking and listening are all incorporated, as well as cross-curricular content.
