What educators are saying

Super cute activity that allowed my students to create "spooky" decorations while practising their scissors skills.
Students loved making their skeleton! It did take kindergarten students quite a while to cut out, but it gave them practice cutting and gluing. Students who were more independent were able to work at their own pace with the directions page. Definitely an eye catching hall display!

Description

If you're learning about the human body, studying skeletons or just getting ready for Halloween, this Build-a-Skeleton craft is a fun activity to add to your upcoming lesson plans. Once the craft is complete, it ends up being over 3 feet tall! The kids love seeing their work displayed, so they will especially love seeing this giant piece of art on the wall! Pair the craft with a fun Halloween or Skeleton read aloud to start the activity off with a bang!

Included in this download is a build-a-skeleton craftivity that includes a simple instructions page and a diagram of the completed skeleton, two different sizes of skeleton bones, and two sets of hats and bows (a top hat and a witch hat).

This would make a great Halloween project, STEM project, group project, or a family craft! Student and family-friendly instructions included.

Please note that this skeleton is not anatomically correct; it is intended to be a fun craft or a beginner lesson for skeletons.

Please note that this will take multiple sessions to complete. For kindergarteners, it is recommended to use during a weekly center. It will take about 5 10-15 minute sessions to complete, depending on ability.

Print on cardstock for easy cutting and durability. Use brads, string, tape, or glue to assemble.

Enjoy! :)
