Spooky Sort: a word sort activity where students sort Halloween themed picture cards to determine whether they are a noun or a verb. Includes a recording sheet.

Spider Spelling: This sort focuses on the long a spelling pattern.. Students sort spider cards by three different long a spelling patterns. Includes a recording sheet.

Ghost of Halloween Past: This sort focuses on irregular past tense verbs. Students sort ghost cards by their past or present tense, and record it on a recording sheet.

Bewitching Vowel Match up- Students try to match up Halloween pictures with the same middle vowel sound. Includes a recording sheet.

Monster Mash Write the room- This is a great center to allow students to move around. Monster cards with sight words are taped around the room for students to find and record on their accompanying worksheet.
