This bundle has a full set of practice worksheets to enrich your Handwriting Without Tears® cursive curriculum. These printables feature the same strokes as your HWT curriculum. These handwriting practice sheets are ideal for all types of students. They are also a great alternative for older students/adults (or for occupational therapy use) who are learning to write in cursive and do not wish to have distracting illustrations and designs.

If you already own the HWT cursive handwriting workbook, you will see that there are only a few pages to practice the cursive capital letters. The HWT workbooks do not provide nearly enough practice areas to master the cursive capital letter alphabet. That is exactly why I created these practice worksheets along with the lower case cursive alphabet pages.

Unlike the actual HWT workbooks, these printables can be printed over and over again so the student gains muscle memory when practicing their cursive letters. Daily focused practice is an important long term component of building good handwriting skills. Many times students are taught each letter once with a page of practice and then it is assumed that they know how to write properly. Continued daily practice and attention to letter formation is required to develop good penmanship. These practice sheets will build your student's cursive handwriting skills and confidence.

A lot of other cursive handwriting worksheets may use a similar letters/strokes, but it is not quite the same as what your student's are used to from their HWT cursive workbooks.

⭐️⭐️ I SEE HUNDREDS OF HANDWRITING PRODUCTS ON TPT - WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE THIS ONE? ⭐️⭐️

Most of the products sold on TpT are created with programs such as PowerPoint® or Canva. These are great for making slide shows or quick ready to use graphics, but they are not built to create professional quality worksheets. ALL of my products are designed on Adobe InDesign - the industry standard software for layout and typesetting. It is the same software used to create worksheets, textbooks, and magazines that you would find in a bookstore. By using this program, I am able to fine tune every detail in my worksheets to ensure each letter, line, and image is exactly where it should be. This means that your students will have greater success in forming their letter strokes and formations. The lines on the paper are perfectly formatted to align with every letter. And with my extensive typesetting background, I ensured each letter is properly kerned (spaced). All of these are important factors in ensuring success for new and struggling writers. The fonts used on many other TpT handwriting products are not designed for handwriting instruction. The handwriting fonts I use in all of my practice sheets were custom designed by me - specifically to use for handwriting practice.

Many handwriting workbooks and worksheets are poorly designed, requiring students to cram their words into spaces that are too small. I designed these practice worksheets focusing on size, scale, and proportion of the lines and letters to give optimal success for your beginning cursive writer. Please note: These worksheets are in the Handwriting Without Tears® style cursive. This style of cursive is not a "traditional" style of cursive that you may be used to. People choose this cursive curriculum because of the simple instruction and easy transitions . The letters and connections have been simplified by using a vertical style that gives the writing a clean, easy-to-read appearance. Take a look at the product preview for more explanation.
