What educators are saying

This is exactly what I needed to help some of my fourth graders work on their handwriting. It is addressing their needs without the babyish feel of other handwriting products I've seen. Thank you!
I am really pleased with this product. It is not babyish, but it provides the much-needed practice that many of my students need, from practice with each letter to writing full sentences.

Description

Is your students' handwriting hard to read? Do they have trouble staying on the lines or writing small enough to fit on notebook paper? This handwriting practice for older students is perfect for upper elementary and middle school students who already know how to write their letters, but need extra practice with staying on lines, neatness, spacing, and writing small enough to fit on notebook paper. The line spacing in this handwriting resource is about the same as wide-rule notebook paper. In addition to letter practice, the resource has students practicing their handwriting by writing jokes, sentences with interesting and surprising facts, and inspirational quotes.

The progression on 36 of the 41 worksheets involve first tracing, then writing on handwriting lines, and finally writing on a blank line so they progress to practicing their handwriting in a space without the three lines like they'll have on regular notebook paper. 5 pages don't include tracing practice or handwriting lines.

Included are:

  • 3 pages on quick practice of uppercase and lowercase letters
  • 13 pages (26 half pages) practicing individual letters, both uppercase and lowercase and using them in a sentence.
  • 20 pages of writing interesting facts on ten different topics. This is great for students who want a choice of what to write about when practicing their handwriting.
  • 5 pages ask students to write inspirational quotes without handwriting lines and without asking them to trace first.

This handwriting practice is great for older students, including teenagers because:

  • There are no childish graphics
  • The line spacing is about the same as wide-ruled notebook paper
  • 20 of the 36 handwriting pages contain interesting facts on ten different topics that will appeal to older students. 5 pages contain quotations from musicians, athletes, superheroes, famous people, and fictional characters.

Please do not purchase these handwriting pages for young students who are learning how to write letters. The letter and line spacing is too small for their little hands with fine motor skills that are still developing! This resource is meant for upper elementary and middle school students.
