Are you planning on teaching your students about Harriet Tubman, but having a hard time finding books they can read about this famous African American woman?
I have searched high and wide to find emergent readers that my students can read independently to teach them about Harriet Tubman, but always came up dry, so I created them!
Now my students can read an 'informational text' independently during Black History month- and so can yours!
*Emergent Reader in color:
‘A Story About Harriet Tubman’
-simple sentences on each page detailing facts about Harriet Tubman
*B&W version of the reader- easier to copy & fun to personalize
*B&W comprehension printable to use with the book for recalling facts & details
*Simple to use! Just print, fold & read (full color picture directions included)
*Will instill confidence & print in young readers!
*Supports & Aligns with Readers Workshop Units of Study and Common Core Learning Standards:
RL.K.1, RL.K.5, RL.K.10, RF.K.2, RF.K.3, RF.K.4
*Great for guided reading groups, reading book bags/baskets, buddy reading & so much more!
