    • SLIDE 2 - Learn! Students will be introduced to the person by reading a summary and also learn more by viewing (provided) YouTube video(s). **PLEASE view the video(s) ahead of time to determine if it will suffice for your learners.**
    • SLIDE 3 - Analyze! A quote said by the person is included for analysis. Considerations are also included to help guide student thinking. **Best suited for upper elementary grades 3-5, but can easily be deleted if not appropriate for your learners**
    • SLIDE 4 - Quiz & Collaborate! Students can test their memory by trying to fill in the blanks with simple words from the summary on SLIDE 2. A question particular to the person of the day is included for discussion.
    • SLIDE 5 - Check & Collaborate! You can reveal the answers to SLIDE 4 here. Another opportunity to collaborate is included; students will turn and tell a partner what they’ve learned about the person of the day.

    WHY YOU NEED THE SLIDESHOWS:

    • Short & Sweet - This daily presentation is meant to take 15-20 minutes, depending on students’ conversations. I personally use this whole group during morning meetings and have found it to be a great way to begin the day.
    • Clickable Table of Contents - Because there are over 200 Slides included, you can benefit from not having to go back and forth...just one click! A small home icon is also included on each Slide to link you to the Table of Contents at any time. **Note: If you decide to delete any Slides, they will NOT be linked properly.**
    • Interactive - Allow students to become interested and look forward to learning about the person of the day! This way, it isn’t just a boring lecture.
    • Videos - My students’ personal favorite! They enjoy being able to see the person in action. I have tried to find kid-friendly videos, and they have enjoyed them all. If you do not want to show my suggested video, you can totally find your own instead!
    • Go at Your Own Pace - You do not have to do everything! You can separate the Slides and even span them out to 1 per day if you are cramped for time. You can even go in any order you’d like!
