Materials Needed:

• 5–9x12 manilla envelopes (for each CSI)
• Sewing thread: brown and black (Halloween)
• A small amount of lemon juice, paper towel, zip lock bag, ruler (Thanksgiving)
• 2 or more different scents (can be from essential oil, perfume, air freshener, etc.) (Valentine's Day)
• 5 Cotton balls (Valentine's Day)
• 5 Zip top bags (Valentine's Day)
• 8 pages total need to be printed in color- these can be used by the whole class. (Valentine's Day and Easter)
• Additional materials listed in unit are optional

• This file is not editable.
• There is a grade 2–3 and a grade 4–6 version of these CSI investigations. The story line and props are the same in both. The suspect names and guilty party are different. The complexity of the evidence and recording sheets have been leveled for the appropriate grades.
