Holiday Creative Writing Project and Activities Bundle

Celebrate Fall/Halloween, Winter, and Valentines in a unique way AND encourage vocabulary development through this "Character Personalities" creative writing bundle. While your students expand their vocabularies for describing characters, they will have a blast developing a pumpkin, snowman, or Valentine character and writing creative stories with this holiday creative writing project.

Students receive or choose a character adjective and engage in an in-depth study of the chosen trait (through synonym/antonym/Frayer Models and other graphic organizer work) to prepare for writing a creative story, poem, or other format about their pumpkin, snowman, or Valentine character who has that trait.

Within each resource, I've included ideas for how you can take your creative writing projects to the next level by having students decorate a real pumpkin, a 3D snowman, and Valentine heart. (Cardstock works too!) I've include suggestions and resources for your culminating writing celebrations and some follow up center/literacy station activities to extend and enhance your students' mastery of new character adjectives vocabulary.
