Hollywood Movie Proposal: Summary of a Novel

Students will explore theme and create an iMovie movie trailer for a book they recently read.

PROJECT INTRO: Imagine that you are the author of the book you have just read. Suddenly the book becomes a best seller. A Hollywood movie studio wants you to make the book into a movie. The movie studio wants you to present a short trailer explaining the theme and central idea of the book. You must also explain why the story, characters, conflicts, etc., would make a good film. Suggest a filming location and the actors to play the various roles. Use the information below to outline your movie proposal.
