Using a metric ruler is an essential tool to doing science. And knowing the differ between millimeters and centimeters seems simple but some students do struggle with this, so this activity helped my students really understand measurements.
Description
This is a 5 page ready to use worksheet containing 8 different exercises where students learn by practice how to use a ruler.
It fits perfectly into a 42 min period with 8th grade class.
This worksheet be used in Mathematics, Science or Technology classes. It could be used with younger students. It could be used as a review with older students. Can be used on a SmartBoard or overhead projector for demonstration purposes.
