Digestive System Song:

The Digestive System Song lyrics will be a great addition to your unit on the human body, and can be sung to the popular tune of "Chicken Fried" by Zac Brown Band! Students have had a blast in my classroom learning about the digestive process through these fun lyrics. Attaching movements/ dance moves to each phrase will help aid with memorization as well. Over 2 minutes worth of facts will give your kids a great boost with their learning!

Included in the lyrics:

- The Digestive process (Mouth, Esophagus, Stomach, Intestines, Bloodstream)
- Chemicals in our saliva help break down food
- Food gives us energy to help us move
- Esophagus is the tube that leads to our stomach
- The food starts to digest in the stomach and moves to the intestines
- Nutrients are soaked up and sent into the bloodstream
- Digestion begins with our mouth

The Circulatory System Song:

The Circulatory System song lyrics can be sung to the tune of "Baby" by Justin Bieber, and is a guaranteed way to bring excitement into your lessons on the human body! Out of all of the music I use in my classroom, this one is a sure favorite. The highlight of this song is the "Rap Challenge!" I challenge students to memorize the rap portion of the song, and offer incentives for being able to complete it on their own. *FYI- I begin the rap portion of the song immediately after the first chorus* The students love this idea, and sing it all year long! This song has over 2 minutes worth of lyrics all about circulation!

Included in the lyrics:

- Cells
- The circulatory system delivers food and removes waste from cells
- The blood stream is what helps deliver nutrients to cells
- Arteries take blood away from the heart
- Veins return the blood to the heart
- Capillaries
- There are 4 chambers in the heart
- Nutrients keep cells hydrated

The Respiratory System Song:

The Respiratory System Song lyrics can be sung to the popular tune "Our Song" by Taylor Swift, and will be a huge hit in your classroom! Over 3 minutes worth of facts (the entire song) will give your students plenty of information to become successful! Inspire your students to love learning about the human body and respiration through the use of melody!

*TIP* In my room I also attach hand movements/dance moves to each phrase which helps with memorization.

Included in the lyrics:

- Nasal Cavity
- Oxygen is breathed in, and bad gases are removed
- The main job of the Respiratory System is to pass oxygen from the air to the blood stream
- Pharynx is another name for our throat
- Cilia are tiny hairs that clean the air we breathe
- Breathing out and breathing in is called respiration
- Larynx is our voice box
- Epiglottis moves back and forth when we breathe or eat

The Nervous System Song:

These song lyrics will be a great addition to your unit on the human body! The words can be sung to the popular tune "Party in the USA" by Miley Cyrus, and provides over 2 minutes worth of facts that will help students remember information about the nervous system for a lifetime!
