What educators are saying

My students loved using this as part of their writing prompts. I will continue to use this in the future.
We used half of this resource in my resource room. We never got around to reading the second article because of the schools closing. I'm hoping to be able to use it with my kids next year. Helpful

Description

This is a text-based opinion writing prompt. It includes 2 "articles" about the pros and cons of video games. The articles are at a 5-7 grade reading level, but younger students can understand the material with support. The articles are written to give students all the information they need to write an opinion essay. Links to additional articles and videos are provided. Also included is an opinion writing rubric aligned to the Common Core and the SBAC, a self-assessment rubric and a prompt for students to use to write the essay. Everything you need for a 2-5 day writing experience is included!

This is part of a complete curriculum which includes this prompt (but does not include the article or video links) - TEXT BASED OPINION WRITING. If you already have purchased that product, the only additional materials here are the article and video links.
