What educators are saying

My students were engaged in this activity. The students struggled at first so we played it again. They wanted to see if they could read complete the cards quicker then the first time.
Idioms is such a hard concept for 2nd graders, but with the help of this resource and others, my students seem to really understand.

Description

This Idioms I Have Who Has Game has been a popular resource for many years and has been proven in classrooms to keep students engaged. New for 2023, we've added matching task cards for each idiom included in the game. You can use these task cards as well as the study sheets as a classroom center. Students can practice on their own and then later the game can be played as a class to work on speaking and listening skills and classroom bonding and learning.

Idioms include cat got your tongue, bite your tongue, the last straw, straight from the horse's mouth, green with envy, has a heavy foot, bang my head against the wall, making money hand over fist, off the beaten path, hold your horses, piece of cake, cooking up a storm, makes my blood boil, chew the fat, Queen bee, let the cat out of the bag, cry-baby, no love lost, pass the buck, until the cows come home, handle with kid gloves, pain in the neck, break a leg, icing on the cake, give someone a leg up, in hot water, no spring chicken, dropping like flies, having a ball, hit the hay, missed the boat, kick the habit, sharp as a tack, hung out to dry, heart of gold, talk turkey, other side of the coin, a dime a dozen, rags to riches, and rolls with the punches.
