What educators are saying

I used this resource to close out my lesson as an exit ticket. I had the students get into groups of 2 and 3 as I walked around and observed. The students were very engaged and very much enjoyed reading the short passages with their partner and participating in the inferencing discussions.
This is a great resource to use with older students. It's easy to use and can be an entire lesson or a warm up activity.

Description

Do your students love task cards, but you need something with more substance to practice inferring? This set of 14 half-page inference task cards have students practice reading longer passages and making inferences based on evidence in text. For each task card, students must read the passage, make an inference based on a given question, and cite clues from the text that supports their inference.

Perfect for independent practice, small group work, early finishers, games like Scoot, or centers/stations. Laminate for best results. Store in a baggie or hole punch and put on a ring. There are so many ways to use task cards in the classroom! Enjoy!

This product includes:
