Integer Operations Adding and Subtracting PowerPoint Lesson - Distance Learning

This 32-page widescreen PowerPoint lesson covers adding and subtracting integers, including modeling using number lines and integer chips/counters. This is a visually interesting, animated and editable PowerPoint. It starts with a quick review of 6th grade integer standards including opposites and absolute value before moving on to modeling and solving addition and subtraction integer problems. Subtraction of integers is first introduced using patterns. Each section has a “Your Turn” slide for students to practice the skill before moving on.

I do not “lock” my PowerPoint lessons. We all have to differentiate and teach to the children in front of us each day. Locking the lesson seems counterproductive to helping you reach all students. I do ask that you honor the terms of use at TPT and not share these materials with others. Additional licenses are available to purchase if you want to share with other teachers at your school, or within the school district.
