Description

Your students are technologically advanced...why not use it to their advantage in the classroom?

Your students will be BIG "Fans of Fractions" after completing this web-based activity. Just equip them with a chrome book, laptop or pc and the student response sheet and your students will be ready to explore fractions in a fun and challenging way. This unique lesson uses PREZI to introduce basic fraction concepts and then challenges students to apply the concepts in order to demonstrate understanding and degree of mastery.

This activity can be used as a pre-assessment prior to teaching a unit on fractions, a center activity or a diagnostic after teaching to help instructors gauge the levels of understanding their students have regarding fractions.

The animations and movement within a PREZI presentation keeps students engaged in learning.

This activity includes:

- Access to the PREZI presentation on the internet

- A students recording sheet

- An answer key for instructors

- Vocabulary cards (for use on anchor charts) to help students learn and/or review new fraction terminology

The activity and all questions are aligned with the Common core. Standards specifically addressed are: 3.NF.A.1, 3.NF.A.2, 2.G.A.3

If you are interested in additional Prezi MathQuests 3-packs are also available at a discounted price.
