What educators are saying

My students and I enjoyed this resource to use for SOL prep. It was important to have resources that were aligned to the curriculum.
This was a great activity to do at the end of the year to review concepts we have learned! It is a craft but learning still!!

Description

Oh my! Your students will love building this adorable fractions friend, whether that's during your introduction to fractions week or as a fractions review activity!

Disclaimer: This is included in my Fractions Centers Pack.

How does this fractions math craft activity work?

  • Print and copy the pages for your students.
  • Your students will choose the fraction they want to shade in on the different body parts. For example, students may choose to shade in 2/4 for the arms.
  • Students will cut out the pieces and assemble their fractions friend.

What happens next?

Have your students record their fractions on the recording sheet.

Then...

Tie in some writing into math class by having your students describe their fraction friend.

But, what fraction pieces are included?

I've included two different sets for you to easily differentiate, if you need to.

Set #1 includes: halves, thirds, fourths, fifths, sixths, eighths

Set #2 includes: halves, thirds, fourths
