What educators are saying

I Was a long term sub in a WA State History class and I needed easily assessable material to teach to rowdy 7th graders. This did the trick and I didn't have to search for curriculum.
This was a great activity to help students with analysis of primary sources. Very engaging and easy to use.

    Description

This bundle combines two great resources for teaching about Japanese American Internment during World War 2.

First, there is my Japanese Internment Source Analysis Lesson. The lesson provides students important background information to help them understand the lead-up to Japanese internment. Then, uses a variety of primary sources that students to help students understand Executive Order 9066, Issei and Nisei removal and incarceration, life in the internment camps, Korematsu vs. the US, and more.

Next, you also get my Internment Camps Primary Source Reading. This first-person account of what it was like for a 19-year-old girl from California to be placed into an internment camp makes for an excellent companion activity with the lesson.

I will either use it in class after the lesson or, if there isn't enough time, assign it for homework. It can also be used to start your next lesson and connect back to what students learned.

You can click on both resources for a closer look at what is included in this bundle.

You can also get both resources along with many more in my Complete World War 2 Unit Plan Bundle.

Thanks so much for stopping to check it out!
