This checklist is perfect to help you and your students understand the new Next Generation Science Standards for kindergarten. Each page shows a standard in NGSS terminology, then breaks it down into chunks for teaching. This will help you and your students to understand what is expected from each standard. There are six slots next to each teaching chunk to record dates taught, and one to record mastery of each skill.

PLEASE NOTE: I studied each standard and used the Common Core standards linked to each one, the science and engineering practices listed for each, the disciplinary core ideas, and the crosscutting concepts from the NGSS standards list. I gathered all of the information for each standard and wrote a list of learning expectations. Then I listed them in a natural learning order and made a checklist. Obviously, these are just my interpretation of the standards and not endorsed in any way by NGSS. :)
