Description

Engage students with the classic yet twisted short story Lamb to the Slaughter by Roald Dahl paired with lesser known but equally surprising poem by the same author.

With this Roald Dahl text set, students will read his version of Little Red Riding Hood and compare it to Lamb to the Slaughter. Viewed through a gender lens, Roald Dahl is a master at portraying female characters as a powerful element of surprise. These two Dahl texts paired with informational texts and a story element review create a dynamic lesson plan that will challenge your thinkers and engage them with the text!
