I am SUPER excited about this lesson! This is a fun, interactive SMARTboard .notebook whiteboard activity for Landforms.
Landforms included are:
oceans, canyons, valleys, mountains, plains, volcano, island, lakes, hills, deserts, and rivers
For EACH landform is a link to Discovery Education videos. Your school has to be subscribed to this for the link to work. If your school does not have a subscription, YouTube has many videos. The SMARTboard lesson is just as interactive without the videos - but it was just an extra piece I included.
Each landform includes a "Did you Know?" page. Five fun and educational facts (island has 4) that give a clear, quick idea of what the landform is.
Each landform includes a "Show What You Know!" game. This page reflects the "Did You Know?" page. It is a fill in the blank with words at the bottom in a word bank. Answer key is included.
Each landform includes a "Matching" game. Three landforms are given on a page with a collection of descriptive words at the bottom. Students move the words to the appropriate column. The answers are self-checking, so students know immediately if they have a right or wrong answer (it will spin or bounce back). There are several pages of the Matching game to include each landform.
While the lower grades may not be able to read all the words to this activity, I included them. I think with the teacher's assistance the videos and games can still be used.

This lesson works ONLY with SMART software. The spin and bounce back for right/wrong answers is a feature of the new SmartNotebook 11. Please update to be able to see those functions. It is also available in my store for MIMIO if you use that instead.
