Description
This project will help your students better understand the social and political impact of the Supreme Court. First, they will be choose a landmark case to research from the list provided, then they will research to thoroughly understand the Court’s decision and its importance to American government and society. Last, they will create an infographic telling me all about the landmark case they chose.
They must research and give a case overview, what the constitutional question at hand is, what the courts decision was and its significance on American society.
Trusted sources are linked on the document for students to use to research such as Oyez, supremecourt.gov and Cornell law.
Next, they will make an infographic. They can use Canva, easily.ly, or Infogram to create the graphic.
The project is worth 100 points with the coordinating rubric, which can be edited to fit your needs.
Examples and a list of landmark Supreme Court cases have also been provided on the worksheet.
